Welcome to Distant Thunder

Welcome to the Distant Thunder Guild Website!

We are one of the longest standing guilds on the Bristlebane server. Our members mostly hail from the USA and CA, but do have members from UK, and other euro countries.

Distant Thunder is a family guild. Although we do RAID  and are starting to brake in to T2 content.  We take pride in our progression, we have no raiding attendance requirement and use a blind bidding DKP system for RAID loot.

We currently raid 3 to 4 nights/week check our event calendar for days and times. Our membership is selected based on their personal merits, foremost. We want good people. The rest is secondary.

  • To Join simply join our website and fill out an application about your gameplay in forums.  Then see one of our officers in game and they can provide an invite to guild.  For more information, speak to one of the officers in the game.

Membership Information
Recruit:

Recruits are player who are tagged in the game after discussion with a Officer about joining. Until they have filled out the application on the website they will remain as a recruit until it is approved. Recruits do not have any privileges in the guild other than to wear our guild tag. They cannot be given items from the bank or attend raids. Once an application if filled out, player will have Junior put next to their name in guild management window. You may attend raids and accrue DKP, but you may not loot until you are a full member.
  • After thirty days, if the application is not filled out, the player may be tagged as a Junior member but will have NRS next to their notes to show that they are not eligible for raiding.

Junior Member:

Junior members are those recruits who have had their applications approved and are starting their 30 day trial to become full members. Junior members can attend raids but may not get items from the guild bank. At the end of 30 days a decision will be made on whether or not full membership will be offered. Note that this time-frame is not set in stone and may be lengthened depending on circumstances.

Member:

A member is a regular player in the guild and has full raiding privileges and may request items from the guild bank, submit requests for help on the forums. Members are encouraged to help out Junior members and their input may be solicited to make membership decisions.

Senior Member:

A Senior member is a person who has been in the guild at least 90 days and has shown that they are loyal to the guild and have willingly helped others in the guild and the guild in general. It is not a given that after 90 days a player is made a Senior member.

Legend:

This is the first step to becoming an officer. It is our way to test you out as a person capable of filling the role and for you to see if you like the role. We will not approach you, you must seek out an Officer or above to start this process if you are interested. Legends may tag people in the guild and are expected to proactively help others in the guild.

Officer:

Officers are in charge of the day to day affairs of the guild and are expected to be an example to others on what DT stands for. There will be specialty Officers at a future date that focus on certain duties such as recruitment when the need is seen. You must have been through the Legend status before being made an officer.

Senior Officer:

Senior officers are those who make major management contributions to the running of the guild and coordinate affairs with other guilds. Senior officers are expected to place these concerns over regular game-play to ensure that DT remains a quality guild. You will be approached for this role if it is determined there is a need and you possess the skills to fulfill it. Be proud to wear the tag.
